The Minister of Minerals Ahmed Sadiq Al-Karori summarised the plan of 2015 which includes; completing the geological database, utilising the remote sensing techniques, updating Sudan's geological map, expanding geological surveys, accomplishing a clear-cut policy of investment, extracting other minerals, reduce environmental pollution caused by production, protect produced minerals from smugglers and decrease the export of raw materials of minerals. The plan also aims to encourage the operation of manufacturing to achieve an additional value besides reducing operations of analysing minerals outside the country and encourage the operation of extracting gold without using mercury.
