Mercury, the Poison of Communities and Nature in Guainía

 Elizabeth is not the only resident of Guainía getting sick due to mercury. This Amazonian territory is home to the Inírida River Star, where three of the country’s tributaries meet, and, along with the Ventuari River in Venezuela, form the great Orinoco River, the third largest on the planet.
