Action plan to eliminate mercury use in mining being formulated

A National Action Plan for Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) in Guyana is expected to be developed soon to help combat the negative effects of the use of mercury while zeroing on its eventual elimination in the gold mining sector.
