T&T considers joining Convention to combat adverse mercury effects

The Basel Convention Regional Centre is seeking to congratulate the Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on the high level of support given to the Minamata Convention as evidenced through the participation of the island’s President, David Granger.

The Minamata Convention on Mercury is a global treaty to protect human health and the environment from the adverse effects of mercury.
