Illegal mining poison kills 3 in SW China

Three people were killed by cyanide poisoning in an abandoned gold mine on Monday in Guigang city in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities said on Tuesday.
Three villagers from the city and another person from Guizhou province went to the deserted mine without permission and, except the one who acted as a lookout, three people who went into the mine were found dead.
Preliminary investigation showed that the victims were killed by cyanide. The case is under further investigation.
