Trading Ghana’s Water for Gold, a very alarming documentary on the
pollution resulting from small-scale alluvial mining in Ghana, premiered
at the British Council in Accra on Wednesday.
The documentary is the work of Edem Srem and Gifty Andoh Appiah, and won
the award for Environmental and Sanitation Report of the year at the
last Ghana Journalists’ Association awards. It was chosen as the best
entry of this year’s Accra Environmental Film Festival.
