Kalinga ENROs heighten public awareness on mercury pollution

Mercury is considered  as one of the most toxic chemicals in the planet. This could enter the human body by breathing its vapours and from contaminated food since this is acquired and accumulated through the food chain.   Effects include damage to the brain, kidney, and lungs and acquisition of several diseases like Acrodynia (pink disease), Hunter-Russell Syndrome, and Minamata disease.
