They noted the abandonment of mines such as Perú, Sosa Méndez and
Revemin, flooded because of damages in drainage pumps or polluted with
cyanide residues. Likewise, they demanded alternatives as a response to
the decree of the so-called gold nationalization, which forced
small-scale miners to quit their regular jobs or become an employee in
any of those facilities neglected by its only owner: the Venezuelan
State.
