Jewellery making, and the sourcing of its raw materials, is notoriously
archaic and convoluted, making chains of custody complex. But one
approach is to start on a small scale and go straight to the source.
Which is exactly what Swiss jewellery and watch brand Chopard did when
it decided to start making precious jewels from Fairmined gold from
Peru.
