True face of mining at Armenia’s Syunik

The Pan-Armenian Environmental Front has brought public attention to the true face of mining at Armenia’s Syunik Region.   
Indiscriminate exploitation, destruction of nature and pollution, operating and abandoned tailings dumps, accidents and violations of the law, and disastrous environmental problems.   
The front members note that the aforesaid were documented during their visits that were conducted between June 25 and 30.
“As a result of mining, Syunik continues to lose its vital areas, turning into dead and toxic zones,” specifically reads the Pan-Armenian Environmental Front statement.
