Canada: Mining company sues Idle No More protesters

Dumas also said that the mining company, as well as the Manitoba government, should have received consent from aboriginals in the area before they decided to go ahead with the development. Dumas said that the band has never surrendered their rights to the land as well as the resources.
A court hearing on the lawsuit, as well as an injunction request against further rallies, will be held on Wednesday in Winnipeg.
