Water Resource Management Water Availability Oyu Tolgoi is a huge mine with a project life of 30-60 years. Reports from Oyu Tolgoi LLC declare that there is enough water in the Gunii Hooloi aquifer to support the mine during this lifetime and that it will not affect the shallow aquifers used for community wells.
