So the real problem here, and it’s not just with the Chinese, is the damage they are doing to the natural resources. As I drive through the mud roads into the villages, I can see the bulldozing of trees and topsoil, the removal of entire slopes, and destroying roads, streams and rivers. It can pollute main sources to drinking water and increase disease prevalence. Often times there is sitting water which welcomes mosquitoes and malaria. Also, the exposure to mercury (which is used to extract gold) can cause many health problems.
