A MINING company has announced it is to release 11 gigalitres of contaminated water from the Mount Todd gold mine near Katherine into a tributary of the Edith River.....
The Batman Pit is separate to Retaining Pond One, which was full to the brim in December and spilled millions of litres of contaminated water into the Edith River after the Boxing Day floods..
