Guyana: Two major gold mines to start up in next three years – Persaud
Minister Persaud said they are aware that small- and medium-scale miners are engaged in alluvial mining and as a result of the ban on the use of mercury in gold retraction, the area of alluvial mining is under pressure. He added that new technology and better training is required to ensure its sustainability, and miners have to ensure efficiency is maintained so that they can have maximum mineral recovery.
