Today is day zero of the INC4 – the Fourth Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to prepare a binding agreement on mercury pollution and related threats. Among a number of regional and inter-regional consultations, the GEF hosted a side event to update the negotiators on GEF-funded projects in this field. The panel members consisted of representatives of the GEF, the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and the Government of Uruguay.
