Other children work on construction sites where they are exposed to noxious fumes and exposed to numerous risks and dangers. Mwanza Miners Association General Secretary Golden Hainga says there are over 3,000 children involved in mining activities particularly in gold mining. It has come to their knowledge that since the introduction of MWAREMA in 1986 the fight against worst forms of child labour has only been directed to miners with mining licences. A resident of Bugambelele village in Katoro Ward, Matondo Edward claims that many children, drop out of school to earn money to support their families.
