Winning (And Losing) The Conservation War: How To Manage The World We're Stuck With

A different way to look at conservation is put forth in a book called Love Your Monsters: Postenvironmentalism and the Anthropocene edited by two Bay Area environmental commentators.
It may be better to concede that population growth has forever changed the way we can look at saving the planet and the species that inhabit it by just prohibiting massive tracts of land from any developement. Perhaps it's time to embrace technologies that mitigate the harm and let us shape the planet to the best of our ability. This would require us to create and recreate the Earth again and again as long as we inhabit it.
