Anti-cyanide committee chairman and rally organiser Wong Kin Hoong said despite facing a strong protest, they would go ahead with the rally.
He claimed about 20,000 would take part in the rally to protect the environment and to create awareness on the health hazard caused by cyanide usage.
“Since the police have already given us the go ahead, I do not see why it should not be held,” he said when contacted.
