The Pebble copper and gold mine--proposed for the pristine headwaters of Bristol Bay, Alaska--would produce billions of tons of toxic mine waste which will likely find a way into local waters, poisoning salmon and the grizzlies that depend on them.
The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) recent risk assessment of large-scale mining in Alaska's Bristol Bay demonstrates the significant and unacceptable impacts that Pebble Mine would have on this wilderness paradise.
Now, the EPA needs to hear from you by July 23rd that you're counting on them to stop Pebble mine, so that Bristol Bay's grizzlies can thrive for years to come.
